We are glad that you are considering joining the Oak Park Sanctuary Choir. Serving the Lord through song is such fun, yet at the same time, an awesome responsibility. You will be blessed as you use your gifts to worship and help others experience God.
We feel that we are family and, as such, care for one another through prayer, outreach, and community. We welcome you into our fellowship and look forward to serving with you in the ministry of music.
Below are some questions and answers that may help you as you make your commitment.
Do I have to audition for the choir? No, we would like to sit down and get to know you, but there is no audition required.
Is a nursery available during rehearsals? Yes, we offer a nursery for children at every rehearsal time.
What activities can I look forward to?
The opportunity to participate in Wednesday night rehearsals, Sunday morning worship, Retreats, Occasional Travel, Christmas and Easter Worship Celebrations, Patriotic presentations, and much more…
What are rehearsals like?
Rehearsals are a very rewarding experience for choir members. We start with a prayer and devotion, followed by a time of worship. We then rehearse music for Sunday worship or upcoming events.
We work hard but we laugh a lot. Once we’ve accomplished our goal for the evening, we spend some time in prayer for each other, personal needs, and our services that week. Choir members will tell you they leave with a sense of accomplishment, feeling better than when they arrived.
Whom can I contact if I have more questions?
You can talk with any choir member, or contact our office (633-6110) at any time for more information. You may also e-mail us at email@example.com.
Come at least give us a try at a rehearsal! We welcome you as our guest! We look forward to seeing you soon!
